Omagh Integrated PS Civil Infrastructure

Albert Fry Associates provided civil engineering consultancy services for Omagh Integrated Primary School.

The existing greenfield site required extensive remodelling to provide a plateau for the new Omagh Integrated Primary School site.

Albert Fry Associates completed a Cut & Fill analysis designing levels and associated earthworks. Associated roads and hardstanding were designed including carparking, bus drop off, service delivery and overflow carparking.

Extensive road works external to the site was required. The existing road along the site frontage was only 3.5m wide. AFA designed a 6m road with associated footpath along the site frontage and regraded the road to provide adequate forward visibility.

Drainage works included a storm connection to the nearby Camowen River, a sewer requisition for the foul drainage and SUDS to attenuate storm flow from the site.

Improvements to the Crevanagh Road roundabout were also carried out. All works were designed in accordance with the DMRB and agreed with DfI Roads.
