A municipal technical services complex which included waste transfer station, refuse fleet maintenance and offices with two upper parking decks.
The steelwork has been designed to accommodate the circulation of articulated vehicles within the building for discharge of refuse into the compaction plant.
The excavation for the basement was supported by gunite faced soil nailing immediately below existing factory foundations. Grouted mini-piles were used to resist the hydrostatic uplift of basement.
Site-won crushed rock was used to form geo-grid reinforced-earth retaining walls to haul-road.
